Golden Isles fly fishing and St. Simons Island fly fishing; simply no words can describe it. It must be experienced! The sight of a tailing Georgia redfish causes even the most veteran angler to go weak in the knees while the sight of acres of rolling Georgia tarpon can leave an angler stunned and amazed, with hands trembling and heart racing.

The Georgia coast stretches approximately 100 miles from just north of Jacksonville, FL between the St. Mary’s River and Savannah River. Most of the coastline remains untouched with only four of the thirteen Georgia barrier islands publicly accessible. These include Jekyll Island, St. Simons Island, Sea Island and Tybee Island. Brunswick and the Golden Isles receive little fishing pressure and it’s proximity to Atlanta, Savannah and Jacksonville makes it an ideal light tackle fishing getaway.

During the winter months Georgia’s redfish can be found in mere inches of water schooled up by the hundreds. Early spring brings one of the Golden Isles most unique fisheries, the tripletail. Georgia’s tripletail can be sight fished off the beaches of the Golden Isles and are eager to take a fly or artificial lure. Summer means mostly one thing, Georgia tarpon! During peak months acres of Georgia tarpon can be found around the Golden Isles. The fall brings phenomenal sight fishing opportunities for Georgia’s tailing redfish.
