Trips use the custom 25-foot C-Hawk, the “Minner Skinner,” and accommodate up to six anglers. Rods, reels, bait, tackle, fishing licenses and coolers with ice are provided. What’s Biting Around St. Simons Island by Season

Winter

Redfish school up by the hundreds in skinny water for great sight fishing on calm, clear days. Sheepshead hold on structure.

Spring

Tripletail show up along the beaches, bull redfish run in the surf, and sharks and cobia return in late spring.

Summer

Tarpon season: Georgia tarpon average 100-140 lbs. Big blacktip sharks, cobia and mackerel round out the action.

Fall

Tailing redfish on the flooded spartina flats, bull reds in the surf, and some of the best trout fishing of the year.

How many people can fish on one charter?

Up to six anglers can fish aboard the 25-foot C-Hawk. For larger groups, ask about booking multiple boats.

What is included in the charter?

Rods, reels, bait, tackle, Georgia fishing licenses and coolers with ice are all included. You bring food, drinks, sunscreen and sunglasses.

What fish can we catch near St. Simons Island?

Common catches include redfish, spotted seatrout, flounder, sheepshead, tripletail, sharks and, in summer, tarpon. Species vary by season.

Do you offer half-day and full-day trips?

Yes. Choose a half-day or full-day charter, or ask about multiple-day trips. Call 912-617-1980 for dates and rates.

Are fishing charters good for kids?

Yes. There is no minimum age, and Capt. Greg is patient with first-time anglers. We ask for no more than two children per adult.

Do I need fishing experience?

No. All skill levels are welcome, and Capt. Greg helps new anglers learn as they fish. Let him know if children or first-time anglers will be joining you.
